By accessing or using SL1-Digital services, our website (sl1-digital.com), or applications developed by SL1-Digital, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

About SL1-Digital

SL1-Digital is a development services company providing:

  • Mobile application development
  • Web development and design
  • Electrical engineering solutions
  • Digital design and marketing
  • Technical consulting

We develop applications on behalf of our clients. When you use an app developed by SL1-Digital, you agree to both these general terms and any app-specific terms in the "Apps Developed by SL1-Digital" section below.

SL1-Digital Website Terms

When using the SL1-Digital website:

  • You may browse our website and use our contact form to reach us
  • You agree to provide accurate information when contacting us
  • You may not use our website for any unlawful purpose
  • You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Development Services Terms

For clients engaging SL1-Digital for development services:

  • Project Agreements: Specific terms for development projects are established in separate service agreements between SL1-Digital and the client.
  • Confidentiality: We maintain confidentiality of client information and project details unless otherwise agreed.
  • Intellectual Property: Ownership of developed work is defined in individual project agreements.

These public terms do not replace or supersede any signed service agreements.

Apps Developed by SL1-Digital

The following terms apply to applications developed by SL1-Digital for our clients. By using these applications, you agree to these terms.

Novalux Lighting Controls (Developed for Novalux)

Novalux Lighting Controls is an iOS application developed by SL1-Digital for our client, Novalux. The app allows users to control HomeKit-compatible lighting devices.

Requirements

  • An iOS device running a compatible version of iOS
  • HomeKit-compatible lighting devices
  • A configured Apple Home setup

Permitted Use

You agree to use the Novalux Lighting Controls app only for its intended purpose of controlling your own HomeKit-compatible devices.

Prohibited Actions

You must not:

  • Attempt to access devices you do not own or have permission to control
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent any security features

Third-Party Services

The app integrates with Apple HomeKit. Your use of HomeKit is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Neither SL1-Digital nor Novalux are responsible for the availability, functionality, or security of Apple's services or third-party devices.

Intellectual Property

The SL1-Digital website, our branding, and all content therein (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software) are the property of SL1-Digital and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Applications developed for clients remain subject to intellectual property terms defined in individual project agreements.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SL1-DIGITAL WEBSITE AND APPLICATIONS DEVELOPED BY SL1-DIGITAL ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We are not responsible for:

  • Damage to your devices or property
  • Incompatibility with specific devices or systems
  • Failures in your network or internet connection
  • Actions taken by smart home devices or third-party services

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SL1-DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
